In 1985 VW took over the production of the 4x4 LT's and introduced the DW (2.4 inline-6 N/A diesel) and DV (2.4 inline-6 turbo-diesel) engines to the portfolio.

LT45 in various forms and shapes are very few and far between. Dont to mention the LT45 4x4, its virtually non-existant. BUT I actually saw one some weeks ago in the traffic (spotted the front diff). .. Thats like the second I ever saw around here.

THE LT 4X4 SULZER. Sülzer developed a 4x4 version of the VW LT based on the long wheel base. These were either LT40, LT45 or LT47.
